Delusionists HHC Interview

Delusionists Interviewed on HHC Digital

HHC Digital have just posted an interview with Delusionists. Jah bless 'em for showing us some more love after the quality review they gave us last week. Here's a taster of the interview;

What’s the story behind the name Delusionists?

Ben Black: “It’s kind of a dig at ourselves really – like, we must be deluded if we think we can come out of nowhere, make hip-hop music and expect people to respect it. But we do! I also wanted a name that, alphabetically, would put us next to De La Soul in record shops. True story.”

Describe The Delusionists’ sound in one snappy sentence?

BB: “Damn, that’s a tough one; ‘The sound of 20 years of hip-hop colliding with modern Britain’. No, that’s shit. Er…”
DBF: “It’s shit, but it’s better than what I can come up with: ‘Everyman 20-something lyrics mixed with authentic hip-hop beats’.”
BB: “Yeah, I think this is why most people just say, ‘We prefer to let the music speak for itself’.”

To read the full interview (it gets better) do the darn thing and head over to HHC Digital.

Shout out to Bimal Tailor for making us look vaguely cool in the photos.
